Simone Samuels, a McGill University law student, is the recipient of the 2010 Black Business and Professional Association (BBPA) national scholarship for black law students.
Samuels was awarded the $5,000 annual renewable scholarship sponsored by national law firm Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP during a presentation ceremony on Nov. 25 at the Toronto Police College in Etobicoke, just outside Toronto.
“We are happy to invest in and support the next generation of young professionals in a number of ways, including the BBPA national scholarship,” said Brian Leonard, Toronto co-chair of FMC’s National Diversity and Inclusiveness Initiative.
”Simone’s hard work, dedication and enthusiasm are important to FMC’s success, and we are delighted to honour her as this year’s scholarship recipient.”
